What Is The Best Waterless Car Wash Spray For The Money?

Waterless car wash products are somewhat of a new product on the automotive scene. They say that they allow you to clean your car without having to take it to a car wash, but do they really work?  I’ve outlined the best waterless car wash spray products that are available on the markets and which ones I would recommend.

What is Waterless Car Wash Spray?

Waterless car wash is an automotive cleaning product that you spray onto your car to help clean the surface of your car without needing to use water to apply car wash soap or even to remove the waterless car wash.  Waterless car wash works by penetrating the dirt and grime on the surface of your paint to allow you to wipe away any surface-level dirt and dust.

My Waterless Car Wash Spray Recommendations

TriNova Waterless Car Wash and Wax Kit

If you are looking for a waterless car wash that you can use multiple times without needing more I would look at purchasing this TriNova waterless car wash and wax kit. With this waterless car wash kit, you get a spray bottle and a bottle of concentrated waterless car wash and wax.

TriNova says that this kit is good for up to 40 washes, ½ ounce of concentrate makes one full 18-ounce spray bottle which should be enough to clean one car. This waterless car wash and wax kit are one of the more affordable kits in this article because it allows you to mix its concentrated cleaner into a full spray bottle. Most of the other smaller sized 16-18 ounce kits only come with that much spray solution.

Meguiar’s G3626 Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax – 26 oz.

If you don’t plan on using your waterless car wash that much you may be fine with going with a smaller bottle of waterless car wash spray.  This Meguiar’s ultimate waterless car wash comes with 26 ounces of waterless car wash product that allows you to clean your dirty car with one easy step.

It does not require andy hose, bucket, or rinsing. It is also designed to apply a layer of wax during the waterless car wash process to help protect your paint.  This would be my least recommended waterless car wash just because of the amount of product that you get for the cost.

When Should You Use Waterless Car Wash Spray?

If your vehicle is not that dirty is when you would want to use a waterless car wash spray. Waterless car wash products are designed to be used on vehicles that are not super dirty, to begin with.  They can handle a low level of dirt and grime on the surface of your car, but they are meant to be used only if you have a low to medium level of dirt and grime on your paint.

When Should You Not Use Waterless Car Wash Spray?

If you just took your truck or Jeep off-roading and your Jeep is caked in mud now is not the time to be using a waterless car wash product to clean your car.  Another time when you would not want to use a waterless car wash would be after a long winter where you have not washed your car.

After a long winter where you have road salt and dirt and grime caked on the sides of your car, you want to take your car to a normal car wash where you can clean the underside of the car and sides to remove all the salt and road grime.

The reasoning as to why you would not want to use waterless car wash on a really dirty car would be that if your car is really dirty and you use a waterless car wash you are going to likely cause scratches in your paint when you are removing the dirt from your vehicle.

Some people don’t even like to touch their vehicle at all to help prevent scratching their paint so using a touchless car wash would be a big no for them.   I’m even on the fence on recommending using a touchless car wash unless you have a very small amount of dirt on your car. You risk scratching your paint any time you use a microfiber towel to remove something from the surface of your paint especially if the paint surface not lubricated.
