This Mother’s car wash soap for black cars will come with 64 ounces of car wash soap which should be good for about 60 car washes depending on how much soap you use.
It is pH balanced so it should be fine to use without affecting your wax or any other sealant. A lot of people like this car wash soap and wax combination because it allows them to get a finish like they spent time waxing their car but they did not have to take the extra step of actually waxing their car.

Rain-X 620034 Spot Free Car Wash – 48 fl. Oz.
Rain-X says that you do not need a towel to dry off your car when you are done washing it because the water should evaporate leaving a spot-free finish.
I have never used this car wash product so I can’t attest to if that is actually true or not but even if you did need to use a towel in certain areas of your vehicle instead of over the whole vehicle that would save you some time overall for the car wash process.
Rain-X does not say how many car washes you should be able to get out of this car wash soap container.

Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Super Suds Car Wash Soap (1 Gal)
If you want your car wash detergent to last you a long time you would want to go with purchase your car wash detergent in gallon increments.
That way you don’t need to keep buying more car wash soap down the line. If you plan on washing your car a lot or if you have multiple cars to wash I would look at going with a gallon of car wash soap over the smaller 16-ounce bottles.
This car was soap can either be applied with a wash bucket and car wash mitt or it can be used to be sprayed onto your vehicle with a foam spray cannon. Because this soap is concentrated and it contains over 100 ounces you should be able to get over 100 washes out of this one container as Chemical Guys say you should be using 1 ounce of car wash soap to 5 gallons of water. Chemical Guys Maxi-Suds II Super Suds Car Wash Soap (1 Gal)
This car wash soap is ph neutral which means it should be safe to use on your car, it can be applied using either a foam cannon or a car wash mitt. It is cherry scented to put off a good smell while you are cleaning your car.
Chemical Guys also say that this car wash soap is safe for wax and sealant that has been applied to the surface of your car. Chemical guys say that you should use 1-3 ounces of car wash solution if you are going to be applying the car wash soap with a foam cannon.

Meguiar’s Gold Class Car Wash – 1 gallon
It is designed to be able to wash your car without stripping any wax that you have applied to your vehicle. Meguiar’s says that this is a non-detergent based car wash to help prevent any wax being stripped from your paint surface.

How to Apply Car Wash Soap for Black Cars
1. Bucket Method
There are going to be two main ways of applying car wash soap to your car either with a wash mitt and a bucket or using a foam cannon. With a wash mitt and a bucket, you will mix the car wash soap into the bucket and stir it around with your wash mitt to create suds. You can then apply the car wash soap to your car using the wash mitt to make sure that the whole surface of your car gets soapy.
2. Foam Cannon Method
I personally think that the foam cannon way is going to be the safer way to apply the car wash soap to your car as you would have less of a chance to scratch the paint of your car if you shoot the car wash solution onto it instead of rub it onto the car with a wash mitt. 3. Pressure Washer Method
If you are concerned about creating swirl marks or micro scratches in the surface of your paint you would want to use a foam cannon in combination with a pressure washer. When you use a foam cannon in combination with a pressure washer you don’t really have to touch the surface of your paint to clean your car. The less you touch the surface of your paint with a car wash mitt or a towel the fewer chances you are going to have of scratching the paint.
4. Touchless Method
The ultimate touchless car wash procedure would be to use a foam cannon, a pressure washer, and a leaf blower to clean and dry your car.
First, you would spray the car wash soap on your car, you would then use the pressure washer to remove any dirt and debris from the surface of your paint, you would then dry off your car with a leaf blower to make sure that the surface of the paint is dry.
I personally don’t do this as the paint on my black car is old now and already had scratches on the surface when I bought the vehicle.
However, if you have a brand new car or just repainted your car I could see why you would want to take all the precautions you could to make sure that you don’t damage your paint by scratching the surface with a wash mitt or even a microfiber towel.
You can always buff and polish your car down the line to remove surface scratches but every time you do that you remove some of the clear coat from your paint. It’s best to not cause any scratches from the beginning if you can help it.

You would want to make sure that you have some clean microfiber towels that you can use to fully dry off the surface of your car. If you are using dirty microfiber towels to dry off your car this is likely going to cause streaking when you are finished.
You would also want to make sure that you have enough microfiber towels to be able to fully dry the surface of your car as that will also cause streaking if you don’t fully dry the surface of the paint or if your microfiber towel gets too wet.
You can always wring out your microfiber towel to get it to lose some of that water but it’s always a good idea to have at least a few microfiber towels on hand when you are drying off your car.

I’ve always found that even if I do my best to make sure that my car is clean and that I’ve dried it off using clean microfiber towels that it still may leave some streaking on the surface of the paint when I get home and do further inspection.
To help combat that I usually come home and apply some spray wax to the surface of my car and make sure that no streaks remain when I am done with the spray wax. That way I can make sure that the whole car is dry and apply spray wax to each individual panel making sure that no streaks remain.
